Advanced Genius Theory
by Jason Hartley
If you've ever bought the latest record by a favorite old musician and been disappointed, Decatur blogger and author Jason Hartley thinks it's you, not the artist, that's missing something. His new book, Advanced Genius Theory, based on his blog by the same name, puts forth the notion that geniuses like Lou Reed and David Bowie's best work isn't behind them, but that their audiences' abilities to comprehend their art is what's lagging behind.
Jason Hartley is a writer, musician, and online marketer. He holds a BA in English from the University of South Carolina. He has worked professionally as a dancer and choreographer, and has studied at the American Dance Festival, Dance Space, Inc., and Movement Research. He has written for Esquire, Spin.com, and VH-1's Best Week Ever blog.
