Inscribed front free end page: 'For Becky Frazer from Nigel Nicolson'. A terrific book by publisher/politician and son of writers Sir Harold Nicolson and Vita Sackville-West. This is the story of Nigel's parents marriage created by the marriage of separate tellings. The larger chunk of this book is taken from an autobiography left by V.S.W. at the time of her death. The rest is written by Nigel. There are also a number of terrific photographs printed two sided on 7 plates. Also there is also a Frontispiece plate of William Strang RA portrait of Vita Sackville-West in all her splendor. That RA that seems to forever be attached to Strang's (and other British artists) name means Royal Academician of the Royal Academy of Arts in London. (235 pp.)
