Octavo. [5 & 3/4' x 8 & 3/4'] This looks to be a 1900 First edition. And many other dealers agree with this opinion. Nevertheless, knowledgeable voices,in the business of books, voices much more knowledgeable than my own, say there is a 1898 edition of same cover, same plates. So I assume they know what they are talking about. Regardless of all that, this is a good/very good early printing of a beautiful book. Decorative blue covered cloth stamped gold lettering, white goose, and green floral print. White end pages with foxing. Gilt tinted top edge. Deckled fore-edge. Bookplate affixed to front pastedown. (116 pp.)
