Southern Gothic Book Club
Location:
Wrecking Bar Brewpub
292 Moreland Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30307-1953
The Southern Gothic Book Club celebrates the writers who so beautifully critique and capture the dark underbelly of Southern culture using genre motifs. We're talking death, decay, small town gossip, relationships that are rotten to the core, and, of course, all things grotesque. We're going to read the very best of Southern Gothic fiction and non fiction -- short stories, novellas, memoirs, and novels -- from titans of the genre and contemporary writers. If you've ever contemplated the beauty (and violence) of, say, kudzu vines overtaking an abandoned gas station on a gravelly back road, this is the book club for you.
The Southern Gothic Book Club meets at the Wrecking Bar Brewpub on the second Tuesday of each month.
Unfortunately, this book club is full and not accepting new members.
