16mo. Four & 1/4-inch x Six & 3/4-inch; Brown umber cloth covered flexible boards with gold lettering on spine & modern library colophon front panel. Kent end papers. In dustjacket with red & blue inke with black lettering. Not price clipped, but heavily darkened at spine & margins. Mild chipping top & bottom jacket edge. Large torn corner of back flap. By my count there are 275 Modern Library titles listed on the verso of jacket but the question across the top says 'Which of these 268 outstanding books do you want to read?' so I could be/should be wrong. The torn corner largely obscures 14 titles, but there is enough visible to count correctly. And even if there are titles torn out completely that does not explain why my count is too high. If anything the error is due to fact I am half blind and my hands when I touch with pencil point each book author/title as I count, but none of this should mean my count is off as far as 7 books.
