Location:
Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University

80 Forsyth St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303

Pete Souza, former Chief White House Official Photographer and author of the bestselling "Obama: An Intimate Portrait," brings his new book of photography to Atlanta.

"Shade: A Tale of Two Presidents" contrasts more than a hundred of Souza’s unforgettable images of President Barack Obama with tweets, news headlines, and quotes that defined the first 500 days of the Trump White House. What began with Souza’s wildly popular Instagram posts soon after President Donald Trump’s inauguration in January 2017 is now a potent commentary on the state of the presidency and our country. Some call this "throwing shade." Souza calls it telling the truth.

Atlanta Celebrates Photography, the Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University, and A Cappella Books are pleased to host "A Tale of Two Presidents: An Evening with Pete Souza."

Tickets are now on sale through the Rialto Center box office and at A Cappella Books. Each $44 ticket includes a copy of SHADE, with a specialized, signed bookplate, created exclusively for the book tour. These will be distributed at the event.

A limited number of $100 VIP tickets will, in addition to including the book, allow guests to enjoy the best seats in the house and will include a meet and greet with Souza prior to the 7 p.m. event start.

If you are unable to attend this event but would still like a signed copy of the book, we have a limited number available now that Souza has signed on a page specially bound in by the publisher.
